I am certainly guilty of sometimes over doing when it comes to integrating tech into my work place. When iOS 5 was introduced in October of 2011, I saw some great features I knew we could take advantage of on the course. Recently we began incorporating the Reminders app at the course. This is a great app to use, especially with the ability to set reminders based on your location. You have the ability to GeoFence your reminders. A quick example. If you are out on the course and you receive an email that you must call a senior staff when arriving back to the shop. If you are like me, heading back to the shop is met with many distractions and detours. Well, to avoid forgetting, set a reminder and geotag it. When you enter the reminder into the app, in the “Remind Me” section you can set a location. Simply set your location for your shop. Your reminder is now geotagged. When you arrive back at your shop, you will be alerted with a push notification that you must call that staff.
Don’t want to enter all that…..look for our next post on using Siri! No typing required; just use your personal assistant!
