Day 1 Complete at #GIS13

Day 1 is complete here in San Diego, CA. The iTurf Apps team was in full attendance participating in some valuable educational seminars today! It is a great atmosphere here this week. The weather is outstanding, the convention center overlooks the bay, and the people that are in attendance make the show. Social media has showcased its true power this week as many “twitter turfheads” were able to actually meet for the first time tonight face to face. Twitter has developed very professional and sincere relationships for most of the turfheads that communicate primarily through social media. These relationships can extend into daily conversations and friendships that provide excellent advice and turfgrass support in the future. There seems to be a certain sense of excitement already this week, even though it’s only Monday. Day 2 will be packing just as much educational content and networking possibilities. Stay tuned into the twitter feed and reference #GIS13 for all pertinent information relating to the show. Make sure to stop by the GCSAA Tech booth 1055 on Wednesday and Thursday to listen into some great talks by our team! Make sure to turn your FitBit on this week! My steps for day one were 15,500. See you on the show floor!
