WE See Things Differently

Call me crazy, but the above never aired video of the “The Crazy One’s” narrated by Steve Jobs is one of the most inspirational videos made to drive innovation. From Einstein, Dylan, Earhart, Henson and Picasso, they all “changed the world”. Apple followers have and always be a bit different, much like Golf Course Superintendents and other turf managers, we are just wired different.

When I founded iTurf Apps in 2009, the uses of technology I had always embraced, seemed absent in the industry. That was until I met two fellow Superintendents, Bob Porter and Jason VanBuskirk. Bob and Jason’s passion for technology and it’s integration into their daily work and personal live’s is second to none. The three of us together are dangerous, like I said, Apple followers are just wired different.

Today iTurf Apps is taking some big steps forward. iTurf Apps is no longer a “Wolfpack of one!” I am very proud to announce the new team at iTurf Apps to include Bob and Jason. I could not be more excited than to have these two passionate individuals joining iTurf Apps. The new team at iTurf Apps has developed a solid direction for which iTurf Apps will be going and we could not be more excited.

Over the last several years, iTurf Apps has helped so many people in and out of the industry with technology. We have built websites, blogs, assisted with mobile integration, beta tested applications, spoken at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally on integrating technology and social media and of course provide some great reviews and information from the tech industry. The new iTurf Apps team looks forward to continuing this and bringing much more to all of you!

I would like to thank all of you who have supported iTurf Apps in the past and look forward to our team and future. The iTurf Apps team will be at the Golf Industry Show this year in San Diego. Each of us are presenting throughout the week on some fantastic topics. If you see us, stop and say hello, we look forward to seeing all of you!

Share your turf videos with us…..iTurf Apps Live Community Youtube Channel. I’m sure many of you that are reading this are tech savvy individuals. If you’re not tech savvy, then you’re interested in becoming tech savvy. This website is certainly one way to do that, especially if you’re an Apple fan! As much of an Apple/tech website as this is, it is also a turf/tech community.

In the turf community, we tend to share thoughts and ideas primarily related to turfgrass practices. (I’m sure Twitter quickly comes to mind.) Well, here at iturfapps.com, we have created a page for you to start sharing your videos to the turf/tech community. If you have any videos of yourself or of a staff member using a tech gadget or device for a turfgrass purpose, share your video easily with the iTurfApps Community on our YouTube Channel.
